An air filter is a device used to clean and purify the air. It mainly captures and separates various air pollutants through filter media to achieve the purpose of purifying the air.
The main categories of air filters include:
1. Mechanical filter: uses the interception effect of the filter medium surface to capture particulate pollutants, such as HEPA filters, primary filters, etc.
2. Electronic filter: uses the principle of electrostatic adsorption to capture pollutants, such as electrostatic air filters.
Adsorption filter: uses adsorption materials such as activated carbon and chemical adsorbents to remove gaseous pollutants, such as activated carbon filters.
3. Composite filter: a composite filter that combines multiple filtering principles, such as HEPA + activated carbon filters.
The performance of the filter is mainly measured by indicators such as filtration efficiency, resistance, and service life. The higher the filtration efficiency, the finer the particles that can be captured; the lower the resistance, the smaller the air volume loss; the longer the service life, the lower the cost of use.
Air filters are widely used in civil buildings, industrial sites, automobiles, aerospace and other fields, and are one of the important equipment for improving indoor and outdoor air quality. With the continuous improvement of people's environmental awareness, high-performance, energy-saving and environmentally friendly air filters will become the direction of future development.
